Bhangra

The Northeastern University Bhangra Team was started in 1998. Now in its eighth year, NU Bhangra is in its next generation phase.

NU Bhangra combines the traditional aspects of Punjab's traditional dance with the modern, high-energy, and graceful touch of new generation bhangra.

Members of this team strive to entertain and educate audiences with a new exciting level of dance - sharing the power and culture of bhangra.

Having only competed in the Boston area, this year the team is looking to take their show on the road and is planning to attend other national competitions around the North American region and Canada. For more information or to get involved, contact nubhangra@gmail.com

Garba

The Northeastern University Garba Team started in 2001. Since then, we have performed in various competitions such as Garbafest held at the John Hancock Building. NU Garba encourages the support of anyone who in interested in learning the modern and traditional forms of garba and raas. We are looking to take the team to new competitions around the United States in the following year.
