Sociedad Latina seeks to help Latino youth become leaders in their community through supporting education, promoting cultural identity, and preserving traditions. Each year, Sociedad Latina hires and trains Latino youth to plan, develop, and present numerous health-related education and prevention programs, such as an HIV/AIDS and Substance Abuse Prevention program. Sociedad Latina also collaborates with outside organizations that employ Latino youth to foster leadership and cultural pride through work experience. Additionally, Sociedad Latina provides practical job training for young adults looking for permanent employment.
