Counseling Services

The Latino Family Counseling Center (LFCC) of La Alianza Hispana (LAH) prides itself on providing culturally and linguistically sensitive services to Latinos. Treatment is available on an individual and group basis, but the LFCC strives to include family in the process, looking at intergenerational, economic, and political factors that impact mental health and substance abuse behaviors. LAH also trains social service agencies about cultural sensitivity, provides mentors to help families find community resources, teaches better parenting skills, and sponsors the Safe Families and Teens Initiative for lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, and transgender youth and their families.
