

Pete Rossomando - Offensive Line

Pete Rossomando will join the Huskies as the new offensive line coach. Rossomando has spent the past five seasons at the University of New Haven, including three years as O-line coach. He inherits an experienced group, but one that is a little short on depth. Versatile and conditioned will describe the regulars in Rossomando's frontline lineup.
Before NU: Began as an assistant defensive line coach at New Haven in 1994...was responsible for all phases of defensive play and special teams...coordinated recruiting and covered such areas as California, New Jersey, Florida, Connecticut, and the five boroughs of New York...monitored NCAA compliance...was also director of strength and conditioning...helped guide team to NCAA playoffs in 1995 and '97...team won Lambert Cup and was named ECAC Team of the Year in 1995 and '97 as well...New Haven ranked No. 2 nationally in scoring defense with 9.5 points per game...part of NU's New Haven connection, a rapidly growing list of proven winners who have become Coach Gallup assistants; current New Haven head coach Darren Rizzi was the leader of NU's linebackers last year, while new Husky D-line coach Wally Dembowski coached at New Haven.
Playing Career: Played for Boston University from 1990-93...two-year starter at offensive guard...helped lead the Terriers to 1993 Yankee Conference Championship and Lambert Cup Championship.
Personal: Born April 7, 1972...received bachelor of science degree in clinical exercise physiology from Boston University in 1995...single and resides in Brighton.
Recruiting: Northern New Jersey, New York City, California (junior colleges).
