George Rodgers has found a home at right tackle. A veteran of the offensive line, Rodgers has proven to be a valuable commodity and will return to his starting role again this season. 1998: Played right tackle...split time with veteran tackle Joe Markowski. 1997: Received his first varsity letter as a member of the offensive line...earned a starting position at right guard against Rhode Island and remained in the starting lineup until an injury to his left knee against William & Mary forced him to miss four straight games...returned for Maine and Villanova games to end the season. 1996: Practice player and reserve on offensive line in first year with the team after spending 1995 playing at Highland (Kansas) Junior College. High School: A football and track standout at Tewksbury High...selected as Merrimack Valley Conference All-Star and Lowell Sun All-Star as senior captain...also captained the track team as a senior, competing in the shot put and discus...won Massachusetts state championship in the shot put (53'7); team won Class C state title.
