According to Coach Gallup, Joe Gazzola is every bit as good as Brian Hayden and Zach Falconer were in their redshirt freshman seasons. Gazzola runs very well and has great instincts. He will be a second string linebacker at the start of this season, but the coaches predict a future starting role for him. 1998: Redshirt season.
