The punting position should once again be Jason Farrell's this year. He has continued to improve his game and will come into the 1999 season fresh out of a summer kicking camp. He will also see time as backup to Brian Whitman at free safety. 1998: Had a long punt of 56 yards in 53 attempts...placed 14 punts inside the 20...had five tackles on the year, including three against Lafayette, all of them unassisted...named to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team. 1997: Took over as starting punter after Jeff Reale went down with a season-ending injury against BU in game seven...punted 31 times; placed nine inside the opponent's 20...averaged 36.9 yards per punt. 1996: Redshirt season. High School: A football, baseball and track standout at Wakefield High...named Middlesex League All-Star in football as a junior and senior...league co-MVP as a senior captain; also earned All-Scholastic honors from Boston Globe and Boston Herald...played safety, running back and kicked...once scored all of team's 31 points in shutout of Woburn.
