Zach Falconer should once again be one of the best linebackers in the A10. Falconer brings a faster, more athletic style to NU's heralded linebacker group, holding down a starting outside spot. He is a second team preseason All-A10 pick. 1998: Named second team All-A10...fourth on the team with a personal-best 61 tackles...tied for second on the team with 3.5 sacks...had a career-high 13 tackles and a sack at William & Mary...recorded two unassisted sacks and 11 tackles against Rhode Island; also helped lead fourth quarter comeback, picking off a pass and coming up with a huge sack as URI moved inside the NU 20 with under a minute to go. 1997: Named second team All-Conference...fourth on the team with 58 tackles and second with nine stops for loss...had five hits, a pass breakup and recovered a fumble in win over James Madison...nagged by a hamstring injury, but didn't miss a start. 1996: Fifth on the team in tackles with 40Émade career-high five stops and returned fumble 10 yards for a touchdown at LafayetteÉnamed league Rookie of the Week after totalling five tackles and returning an interception 46 yards for a touchdown versus James Madison in NU's 31-7 win. 1995: Redshirt season.
