Jim Bode is coming off a big spring where he improved in every area of offensive line play. He has become more physical and has really worked on his footwork. For his efforts he will probably be rewarded with a starting role at left tackle, a spot Coach Gallup would like to see him hold on to for the next three years. 1998: Played backup to both Seth Huber at center and Chris Gates at right guard. 1997: Redshirt season. High School: Earned three letters in football and baseball, two in basketball and one in wrestling at Needham High...starred on the line on both sides of the ball; named All-Bay State Conference in football and baseball as a senior...received Boston Globe Defensive Player of the Week honors...helped lead Needham to two Bay State Conference championships in both football (1995 and '96) and baseball (1996 and '97).
