The fact that NU did not recruit another quarterback this year says a lot about the future of Kurt Abrams. He has showed the coaches agility and versatility combined with good instincts and a wealth of confidence. This year, he will battle Adam Browne for the third-string role, which will be critical should regulars Jason Quinlan or Fred Vallett go down. 1998: Redshirt season. High School: Earned 10 letters at Dover High; four in basketball and three in baseball and football...captained all three teams...named All-League, All-Section and All-State in football...New York Player of the Year in 1997...named Heisman High School All-Star...set state records for TD passes in a year (30), total TDs (40) and TDs in a playoff game (five)...school record holder with 51 TD passes, 21 rushing TDs and 4200 passing yards...also All-League and All-Section in baseball and basketball.
